Simone Biles Responded After Her Husband, Jonathan Owens, Was Criticized For Wearing Her Olympic Gold Medal

Simone Biles has words for everyone this week.

First, she shaded the hell out of MyKayla Skinner after Team USA’s big win at the Paris Olympics on Tuesday.

MyKayla had said she felt most of the team lacked “talent,” “depth,” and “work ethic,” so when they won, Simone seemingly made sure to call MyKayla out.

Now, she’s responding to people who had something negative to say about her husband, Jonathan Owens, wearing her gold medal from the competition.

If you missed it, after they won, Jonathan posted an Instagram photo wearing the medal while posing next to Simone.

“Witnessing history every time you step on the mat 😍🔥,” he wrote in the caption. “Congrats baby on becoming the most decorated American gymnast in Olympic history!!!! Just wow!!!! 8 of them!!!!! So thankful i was there to see it ❤️🤍💙”

In the comments, fans joined him in congratulating Simone on her big win.

Amid the backlash, Simone jumped in to defend her husband. In response to a TikTok video criticizing the Chicago Bears player, Simone wrote, “[The] crazy thing is, I put my medal on every single one of my family members and took pictures. So don’t ever make assumptions.”

“Like y’all are so fucking miserable,” she added. “Leave us alone.”

It’s not the first time she’s had to come to his defense, either. You might recall when she also stuck up for him after he was criticized for saying he didn’t know who Simone was before they started dating and referring to himself as the “catch” in their relationship.

Which, IMO, is how everyone should view themselves, but I digress.

Taking to her Instagram, Simone wrote, “Y’all are blatantly being disrespectful to my relationship and my husband. So, I’m gonna go ahead and say this one time, ‘Respectfully, fuck off.'”

“And if you keep commenting or tweeting at me, I’m just going to block you. Simple as that.”
