Prince William won’t ‘soften’ to Prince Harry as expert warns he did ‘unthinkable’

Relations between Prince William and Prince Harry have been frosty since before the Duke of Sussex quit his royal role.

Prince William is not ready to welcome Prince Harry back into the royal circle because he did the “unthinkable,” a royal expert has claimed.

Former BBC Royal correspondent Michael Cole claimed that the Prince of Wales remains “adamant” about keeping his brother away from the Royal Family.

MrCole delivered a sharp critique of the brothers’ strained relationship, suggesting a reconciliation appears off the cards for the foreseeable future.

He argued that there would be no “softening” in William’s stance towards Harry’s actions, which he described as “unthinkable.”

Speaking to GB News, Mr Cole remarked: “There’s going to be no softening of the adamantine response to what he’s done. He’s done the unthinkable. In this life, most men can put up with insults, it happens.

You get insulted. I’ve been insulted by experts over the years and men can put up with that. What they cannot put up with are two things which they cannot abide by. Their driving ability, and they certainly cannot allow their wife to be criticised.

Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, have made no secret of their disdain for Princess Kate. Even when her cancer was diagnosed and she announced it herself. The message they sent was sort of a mealy-mouthed thing.”

The expert added that the Prince of Wales was already showing he would likely have a “strong command” over royal matters with his decision.

He lauded William’s resolve, adding: “He’s showing a strong command of things, and a willingness to speak frankly about things he likes and doesn’t like.”

The Sussexes have extended their wishes for Kate’s health and privacy after her illness was publicly disclosed, stating: “We wish health and healing for Kate and the family and hope they can do so privately and in peace.”

It appears that Prince Harry and Meghan were informed of Kate’s condition at the same time as the public.

The last occasion when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were seen with the Prince and Princess of Wales was Queen Elizabeth’s funeral, where they joined forces to acknowledge the condolences of those gathered outside Windsor Castle.

Since stepping back from Royal duties, Harry and Meghan have openly discussed their perspectives of William and Kate.

Harry claimed in a Netflix documentary last year that encouragement from William and Kate played a part in his decision to wear an offensive Nazi costume for a party in 2005, an act he now deems as one of his gravest errors.

Further shedding light on internal royal conflicts, Prince Harry shared personal accounts in his memoir ‘Spare’, detailing the strained relationship between Meghan and Kate.

He recounted an episode where Kate ostensibly showed displeasure at Meghan using her lipgloss and detailed a clash following Meghan’s “baby brain” comment about Kate shortly after the birth of Prince Louis.
