‘Frustrated’ Meghan Markle warns Prince Harry to ‘leave the past behind and move on’ as Duke continues to re-live quarrels with Royal Family

Meghan Markle has reportedly had a word with Prince Harry as she grows “frustrated” by her husband brooding over his quarrels with the Royal Family.

Meghan Markle is reportedly encouraging Prince Harry to “leave the past behind and move on” as she grows “frustrated” by her husband brooding over his quarrels with the Royal Family.

Ex BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond believes the Duchess of Sussex, 42, has persuaded the Duke, 39, to start living as though he has left the monarchy behind, but he keeps re-living his past.

“If Meghan is encouraging Harry to leave the past behind and move on, then I think it is a healthy move,” Ms Bold told OK! Magazine.

“They have made their decision, left the working royal family and left the UK,” she said.

Dubbed Megxit, Harry and Meghan stepped down as senior working members of the royal family in 2020 and moved to California with their two children Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three.

“He says he now regards the USA as home — at least for the time being,” Ms Bond said.

“Brooding on the perceived injustices of the past and re-living old quarrels is a waste of a life, and I think Meghan sees that.”

She said it is easier for the Duchess to look ahead while living in America, a country she enjoys and is familiar with having been born and raised in Los Angeles with her mother Doria Ragland and estranged father Thomas Markle.

Meghan “seems to be at ease with estrangement from her own family” and is “probably quite frustrated” with Harry wanting to be reunited with his, she said.

While the insider doesn’t believe Harry spends his entire time thinking of his past, she said he would sometimes question “how” and “why” he has grown increasingly estranged from the monarchy, seemingly beyond repair.

She claimed to know Harry as a young boy and said he was always close with his family, adding he may “miss that connection” and be considering “ways of repairing the damage done in recent years”.

In his bombshell memoir Spare, the Duke reflects on his memories with his brother Prince William and sister-in-law Princess Catherine as well as some of their family gatherings.

An insider, who claims they “get the odd WhatsApp” message from the Prince, told The Times “he’s an angry boy. Things haven’t turned out how he wanted”.

“I think he misses being over here (in Britain) desperately and wants to be admired more,” the friend added.

A source known to Harry since his teenage years claimed the Duke was no doubt missing his former life pub hopping and enjoying the English countryside.

“He used to love a night out in the pub and hanging out in the country with friends.

“He has ended up isolated from his family and most of his old mates, in an environment where your friendships are not like the ones you forged as a young man.”
