Barbara Bush and her husband, Craig Coyne, welcomed their second child, a son named Edward.
Barbara’s twin sister, Jenna Bush Hager, was the first to publicly share the news by posting a series of precious photos with the newborn and his mom at a hospital Monday.
“My sissy had a little mister and I fell madly in love with Edward Finn!” Jenna captioned her Instagram post.
The “Today with Hoda & Jenna” co-host included pictures of herself holding the baby while feeding him with a bottle, her sitting next to Barbara while the little one slept and a solo shot of Edward’s face peeking through a snug blanket.
One of the snaps also featured Edward wearing a hat from NYU Langone Health, a hospital in New York City.
Barbara, 42, is private on social media and has chosen to stay out of the spotlight. The birth of her second child was a surprise, as she had not publicly revealed she was expecting.
However, Jenna spilled the beans in May when she told “Today” show viewers that she had hosted her “sister’s baby shower.”
The siblings’s parents, former President George W. Bush and former first lady Laura Bush, have yet to publicly congratulate their daughter.
Notably, the former politician, 78, was the one to break the news of Barbara welcoming her first child, a daughter named Cora Georgia, in September 2021.
“With full hearts, Laura and I are delighted to announce the birth of our new granddaughter. Barbara gave birth to Cora Georgia Coyne on September 27, 2021, in Maine — not far from our family home where Barbara and Craig were married. Cora is healthy and adorable, and we are proud and grateful,” he wrote on Twitter at the time.
Barbara gave birth to Cora at the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital, which is named after her late grandmother, in Portland, Maine.
The children’s author wed the actor in an intimate ceremony on the Bush family’s property in Kennebunkport, Maine, in October 2018.
They held the private ceremony so her grandfather, the late former President George H.W. Bush, could attend amid his health woes.
The couple then held a second wedding reception in April 2019 at Barbara’s dad’s 1,600-acre Prairie Chapel Ranch in Crawford, Texas.
They began dating in late 2017 after being set up on a blind date by friends.
